Inside Sales Representative
Valuelight is looking for an experienced and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our rapidly growing team.
The Inside Sales Representative will work with Valuelight clients to select the most suitable lighting technology and solutions for their requirements, including a combination of luminaires, lamps and dimming and control systems. The Inside Sales Representative will also negotiate and provide clients with proper pricing, provide availability information, place and track orders, keep clients updated on the status of all orders, and follow up post delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate must be of a positive attitude and have a people-oriented personality.
Should also have firm understanding of and be interested in electrical / lighting products and the industry,
be detail oriented, punctual, a strong communicator, and strongly committed to ensuring satisfaction of all Valuelight customers.
Responsibilities:
The Inside Sales Representative will be required to:
• Develop and Maintain strategic sales opportunities with Agents, Distributors, Account Managers and successfully demonstrate the ability
to establish long-term client relationships
• Provide client assistance, credit establishing assistance for new accounts, answer technical queries and perform research on various
customer's needs and topics if needed, i.e. cross referencing competing products to Valuelight
• Supply quotes to the customer in a timely and effective manner
• Provide Order Confirmations and post-sale information i.e. waybills, tracking information or tracking itself when needed, in a timely
and effective manner
• Liaise with Administrative & Accounting, Technical and Production departments in order to provide smooth order flow and successful
resolution of customer demands
• Assist in monitoring product shipment schedule dates and advise sales teams and/or end users of pending deliveries, or any delays thereof
• Resolve any warranty issues and order-related problems using tenacity, persistence and a high level of diplomacy
• Harvest and maintain detailed and accurate customer records, including all email addresses
• Maintain and develop a high level of knowledge of new technology and the company’s solution offerings
Requirements:
• Successful candidates must be energetic, motivated, professional, proactive and positive individuals who feel empowered to take
ownership of their customers and take whatever action is necessary to resolve account-related problems
• Minimum of one year experience in the electrical / lighting industry. Strong technical product knowledge is needed
• Working knowledge of .IES files and test reports, lighting layout software (Visual or equivalent) and/or AutoCAD would be a definitive asset
• A philosophy that customer service is important above all and an ability to resolve customer needs in innovative and effective manners is
the key success factor of this role
• Previous experience communicating and assisting in the development, maintenance and service of large accounts is necessary
• Bilingual skills would be a definitive asset
Compensation:

NATIONAL SALES MANAGER
Experienced Sales Manager
to drive our well established, progressive "green technology" company to next levels.
We have been achieving a substantial and profitable growth in the past decade by having owners-managers to run sales.
Now we are in a position to hire full time National Sales and Business Development Manager.
We are seeking a motivated, well organized team player with a lot of dedication, attention to small details, management and customer-oriented.
The National Sales and Business Development Manager will be charged with the important roles of identifying and selling to
clientele and of managing a team of in-house and outside sales representatives, focused on selling across all of the company's
energy saving products and services.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, hire/fire, train, help and motivate sales reps
• Plan, manage and execute towards a goal of yielding profitable revenue growth for the company
• Leverage knowledge of direct marketing practices to ensure that sales reps are focused and achieve their stated goals
• Coordinate the development of other sales promotion and lead generation activities, i.e. trade shows,
P.R. & press releases, local, regional and national advertising and utilizing Internet to it's best potential
• Represent the company as a leader in the energy saving industry
• Develop your own portfolio of key accounts in the GTA/SO territory
• Develop and maintain strategic marketing alliances with partners to develop cross-sell opportunities
• Identify new and unique sales opportunities and market needs and delegate these to
appropriate channels / members of sales team
• Track and follow up on all opportunities to maximize the odds of our success
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree a plus, in addition to excellent team leadership skills
• Three plus years managing P&L and sales reps within a successful technology company. Five or more years of successful sales experience from within the technology industry
• Knowledge of direct marketing sales and services
• Ability to provide an integrated solution to prospects and customers based on presenting paybacks and convincing R.O.I calculations
• Track record of success working with senior executive level client
• Must be able to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifference and connects "need" with the company's solutions
• Ability to stay current with our quickly developing innovations, as well as products and services offered by the competition and the broader "green industry" space
• Impeccable oral, verbal, communication, presentation, follow-up and deal-closing skills
• Required to travel, communicate well with subordinates and superiors and sometimes work long hours
Position start: February 1, 2012
Compensation: Attractive salary in line with qualifications and experience;
plus comissions, bonuses, travel to overseas lighting fairs and full benefits after probation period
